Floating forever, pills and potions in the river!

Every day, I am astonished by the amount of information I come across that highlights the limited benefits provided by the various pharmaceutical pills and treatments. The NHS allocates significant funds daily towards these pills, regardless of their colour or shape - and nothing seems to get better. In fact, to me, it's worse.

For many years, individuals have been prescribed a variety of medications such as painkillers, antidepressants, anti-anxiety drugs, and blood pressure pills. While I acknowledge that not all of these prescribed medications are harmful and that they can be beneficial for some individuals, there are now numerous excellent alternative therapies accessible to reduce the reliance on these medications for many people.

As the owner of a floatation therapy centre, I may be biased in saying this, but it is actually our clients who report feeling significantly better after floating. They are the ones who notice improvements in their physical and mental well-being, and those who float regularly are the ones we observe experiencing significant changes over time.

One day in the near future, I anticipate that the world will realize that the primary goal of big pharmaceutical companies is not to cure all your health issues, but rather to generate profits for their shareholders. To achieve this, they rely on a customer base that requires recurring prescriptions. The situation in the USA with Oxycontin serves as a stark example, where aggressive sales tactics led medical professionals to overlook the addictive nature of this painkiller. As a result, millions suffered more than just physical pain.

Listen, I'm sincerely not disregarding the important aspects, throwing the baby out with the float water as it were, I simply believe that a viable approach for local healthcare providers would be to collaborate more with the health and wellness industry - exploring alternative healing methods that do not rely on daily consumption of conventional medications. There are numerous highly effective therapies available today, and sensory deprivation floating is undeniably one of the most beneficial options. Recent research has shown their potential in treating addiction and mental health conditions like depression, with psychedelic substances offering promising results. It's time to allow magic mushrooms, and all the other health and wellness giving natural remedies, to be appreciated for their therapeutic properties, reduce alcohol consumption, stay healthy, and embrace positivity in our chaotic world.

That would be good enough for us all, these days.
